This movie was on of the best drama films I have ever saw. I saw this movie lastnight with my wife, and we totaly loved it. The Story line of the movie was the perfect drama for the entire family. If your gonna spend money, this is the right movie for family and dates.

Pros: Five Thumbs All the Way Up!

Cons: Best Picture!

I am very much against critics because most of the time they never get the movie or enjoy it because they are too busy missing the point of what the director intended and seeing the movie as it really is. Most movies that get rated lower are often good movies, better than even some that are rated 4 or more stars. I have always been an X-Files fan and I knew going in and out of this movie that there are going to be critics and people who are going to be like the above and NOT GET IT. And I was right. But if they learn from the movie and really watch, feel and grasp what Chris Carter meant, then they will also be able to get the world around them to and see past the media and the government lies and deceptions that go on. This movie was very much intended to prove and show you many points and lead the viewer on a journey of discernment, understanding, confirmation and affirmation. Excellent and is continued from the last movie and was made the way it was supposed to. You either get this or you don't.

Pros: Follows in the footsteps of deep envelopment and presentation from Chris Carter

Cons: NONE

My wife and I went to see this last night. We are both x-files fans. What a huge was of time. Movie is slow. The story line is dumb. It was like the rushed it with no thought. Had nothing to do with the show like the first movie did. It builds slightly to the end..and then it just ends. It is just plain weird. It has two story lines and never explains either of them. I'm not sure if this movie is worth a buck out of the local red box. Save your coin & time and do something else.

Pros: Scully was looking good.

Cons: pointless, waste of time.

After reading reviews of this movie, especially the one by Otumwa49, I was almost convinced not to go to it. But then I remembered how much I liked the show when it was on and decided to see for myself. It does have that quiet, yet tense and slow, yet engaging quality that the show often had. It has the cadence that requires one to pay attention to everything. And, true they don't explode buildings, shoot people senslessly– there's plenty of other silly season movies that provide the empty headed violence some people crave. (This movie has plenty of gore, if that is important). But, if you want Xspense and you want to see Mulder and Scully reprise their original roles, then you won't be disappointed. If you are/were a true fan of the show then you will surely get all the subtle and quirky Mulder jokes and the meaningful (insider) glances between the two characters. The chemistry was still there. Different, like a couple that had been together for a while (matured) but still there. It didn't require a full attention span to see that it was clearly explained what Scully had been doing for the past 6 years and (in X-Files fashion) leaves you to wonder some things about Mulder. His character has always been grounded in the mystery. Don't let the reviews discourage you if you are an X Files fan and a fan of these two actors together as a team. Not a movie to brag on and on about, but definitely worth judging for yourself!

I am a huge X File's fan and was disappointed with this movie. Chris Carter had several times to insert mythogoly into the film and choice not too. Plus he had several opportunites to tell us what Mulder & Scully have been up to in the last six years, but instead gave a 2 sentence response. The plot was slow moving, the bad guys make really stupid decisions, the normal chemstry between Mulder & Scully is absent, even Mulder's weird sense of humor is missing. They could of had some excitement if they would of blew up the building or if they would of let us watch the dog rip the women's face off. Don't go and see this movie it is a waste of your money. The reveiws are correct this movie is a D or worse.
