I'm a lot younger than all the people writing other reviews so some of you might just back out of this page, I don't care. Whatever. Anyway, I thought this movie was funny AND went with the comic's story line. Special-effects where as good as in Ghost Ridder and maybe better! At first I didn't think Robert Downey Jr. would make a good Iron Man but it tound out way better than I thought.

Great action movie. I would give it 9/10 although I don't know why I am deducting 1. Excellent plot, sfx and acting. Much better than too hyped superhero movies (not to compare). No wonder why it is pulling the crowd even after two months. If you have not seen it yet, just grab it. Worth for both theatre and DVD. I liked the sound effects the most. Truly impressive in all respects. I never heard about Iron Man before but went for this based on a friend's recommendation. Worth the money.

i saw both the new HULK and the IRON MAN, and let me tell you i think the IRON MAN had a better story to it. I think overall, the screenplay of this movie is not that bad. but the HULK has more 'IN YOUR FACE suspense scenes. it's 15 bucks well spent! either that or save it for gas?!!

Boy, how to speak about this movie without sounding like you are fawning over it. A great film with a great cast - everyone. Visuals are tight, effects believeable, lighting..., location shots..., I could go on and on. Lots of fun. Worth a Drive-In, Movie Theater or even a special DVD (when it comes out) night viewing. A great summer film.

Pros: Robert Downey Jr. The "Ironman" look and feel. Special Effects.

Cons: The Villain robot was constructed a bit too quickly to be believable.

I am not the type to want to see this movie but I left in love with it and Robert Jr! I have seen it 3 times now.

I loved this movie. I am not really into these kind of movies but my husband was excited about seeing it so we went. And we came out loving every minute of it. In fact we are going to see it again tonight! It is a deffinate must see.

Pros: robert Downey Jr (total eye candy) loved the dry humor!

Iron man was abot a man named Tony Stark who was kidnapped. He built a suit made of armor and set himself free. Then he becomes the best super hero in the modern day land. It was a really good movie. Stay until after the end credits and see the part with Samuel Jackson ( Snakes on a Plane ).

Pros: It was a big thriller for the whole family.

Cons: None.

The movie Iron Man is an elegant stylishly updated version of the Marvel comic series that brings the edginess of today's tension into an age-old theme of conflict. Tony Stark is a overly bright weapons manufacturer and playboy who has chosen to avoid the moral issues of his business--until he is literally thrown into it. What follows is an emotionally charged, action packed "hero's journey" in which Stark learns in some very painful ways that he has a heart and a conscience and that he must use them or he has lived for nothing. The metaphors abound in this wonderfully mixed bag of suberb entertainment with depth. A movie that is thrilling, visually pleasing, funny, and with moments of endearing sweetness and playfulness (thanks to the wonderful dynamics between Robert J. Downey and Gwyneth Paltrow).

Pros: Good action with a solid story, relevant to issues today

Cons: slightly weak ending, villain a little too flat

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I must admit, I was a little reluctant to see it since I knew nothing of the Iron Man character. Robert Downey Jr., seemed to be an odd choice prior to my seeing the film. I certainly came away from the film with a new respect for Robert's acting ability! I particularly enjoyed the playful role Gwyneth Paltrow portrayed in this film. Typical of most comic book love portrayals, Gwyneth and Robert hinted at a love interest....which of course, never really gets off the ground. I highly recommend this film...probably not a great choice for very young children but certainly one for 10 and up.

Pros: Awesome plot, great acting, Robert Downey Jr. is "eye candy"

Cons: Can't really come up with any!

Robery Downy Jr was a perfect Tony Stark - arrogant, smug and a sense of humor about himself. True to form of how the comic character is - very much looking forward to how it progresses into Iron Man 2! Jeff Bridges was surprisingly good as Stane - Gweneth Paltrow was great too. Good plot, super scenes as he creates, improves and explores the suit. Surprising amount of humor and very much enjoyed the ending (also true to form to the comics from recent years from what my comic nerd buddies tell me...I stopped collecting 20+ years ago but Iron Man was a favorite.) Very good movie, highly recommend it.

Pros: Acting, Plot, Special Effects

Cons: How Quickly the bad guy picked up using his armour.
