Best Fajita's, enchilada's & Salsa, "This Side of the Border"
by puddlequacker
I just moved from Texas (close to the border) and I am well traveled. "Mexican" (Authentic or Tex-Mex) is my favorite cuisine. I miss the "Spicy" flavor of the true "tex-mex"...and after moving to the area have searched "high & low" for good Mexican food. I must say that "On The Border" is the only restaurant that comes close to that "flavor". "On The Border" serves delicious "Fajita's, Enchilada's & has some of the best "Salsa" around. Sometimes the service is "lacking" in some areas...but the food makes up for it.
- Pros: Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, good parking
- Cons: Waitstaff is sometimes slow and forgetful (not trained very well)

Locals flock to the Mexican chain restaurant for seafood, steak, margaritas and happy hour. A kid's menu is also offered.
Not bad, but forgetable
by n2s
First of all, I have to admit that I liked the "make it at your table" guacamole. Nice touch.
But the rest of the meal was a little forgetable. In fact, I'm sitting here trying to remember EXACTELY what I ordered.
The restaurant followed the usual large portioned and average tasting food. Atmosphere was moderate, and I can see how a family would feel right at home here amongst the large booths and casual feel.
If you are looking for a quick meal with the kiddies at a moderate price and you are REALLY hungry (able to polish off those large portions in exchange for less taste), then this would be a good place to try.
However, if you are looking for the niche, authentic family-run mexican place, this might disappoint.
- Pros: Price, family-orientated, large portions
- Cons: Lack of taste
