Photo Tip: Use a tripod and long exposures rather than a flash to get great interior photos, but be mindful of the other visitors walking around.

Cool fort to explore and really cheap ($5 for the whole family). Lots of great historical info in the visitor center.

One of the cooler forts and you don't have to pay a ton for to see everything. There's a beach that's pretty awesome right behind the fort. Free parking too.

Such a cool FORT! Awesome to see that it was used past the 1800s & decommissioned in the 60s when handed over to National Park Service. Hidden rooms & towers makes this fort totally worth the visit.

Be sure to watch the 22 minute orientation film, it's a great way to get a great overview of the 171yr history of Coastal Defense in Charleston. Also a great way to cool down in the AC on a hot day.

Ask a Ranger or Volunteer about the Cell Phone tour at Fort Moultrie if you want to learn more while visiting the park.
