One of my favorite restaurants in Charleston right on Shem Creek. They used to have tree house pods you could sit in and dine. It was private and a lot of fun. They had to tear them down, due to building codes. It's still a great place to go and they have a bar on the pier with a band... Very good ambiance and I would recommend Shem Creek's to everyone!

The seafood at this place is to die for! We has scallops , shrimp, as well as a seafood platter. All the seafood was amazingly fresh and was prepared well. For example, the scallops were sweet and tender. The oyster stew was the best we have ever had! The sauces were excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone, but particularly to those like myself who have grown up at the sea shore and know what great seafood is!

Excellent "dirty" shrimp and grits. The she-crab soup was a tasty appetizer. The dolphin we saw swimming just outside the restaurant was a bonus. Would definitely visit again!

Our waitress was new but she went out of her way to make the evening enjoyable even bringing me a piece of key lime pie for my birthday! The setting was ideal at sunset, very pretty. When we go back to Charleston we will DEFINITELY go back!

I was a regular here from 95' till 99' when I moved away. Now that I am back in FL I drop in a few times a yr. This is where the locals eat. Awsome boat shaped bar. Very casual dining. Outdoor bar on the creek in season. Open fry-line where one can watch the chef's cooking. AWSOME fresh seafood. I just love this place and am sure to drop in whenever I am in the Charleston area. See ya soon!

We insist on going to Shem Creek Bar & Grill when we're in Charleston because we love everything about it. Everything -- where it's located, the ambiance, the happy vibe, the service, the outstanding food. We had the best meal I think we've ever had in our lives last week when we did a Charleston layover on the way to Hilton Head. It isn't just my husband and I who would say that. Our three young boys ate every single bite and declared it "amazing" and their "favoritest" restaurant. Shem Creek Bar & Grill nails it in every single category you could think of.
