Please consider someone else!. While Azalea offers more than one moving contract, our salesperson only offered us one. Being new movers, we're not so educated about the moving process, yet sometimes it is all but impossible to know what to self-educate on when you have no idea what you don't know. I am someone who likes control and doesn't mind taking responsibility. That said for Azalea to offer one thing to us, a binding contract as opposed to the unbinding one I thought it was, I believe, was unfair. In addition, they had the opportunity to explain the contract and conditions in person and via email three times and they chose not to. When I finally found out it was a fixed priced contract, it was too late to do anything about it and I was told that while they do offer more than one type of contract, I wasn't offered a choice because I knew what I was moving, meaning they decided to choose the contract type for me -- how nice!

I do believe companies have a responsibility for good customer service and to care about their customers and help educate their customers about the services they are being paid for. None of this happened with us. When communicating my disappointment with the fact that we were given one contract, not told we had an option (having no idea that we did), and thinking we had one type of contract as opposed to another, I asked to talk to someone else as form of escalation and really to get some peace of mind that they would talk responsibility and care about our experience, I was completely stonewalled.

Honestly, I doubt the experience could have been any worse. The best thing that happened was that we were put in touch with a great customer service rep at Allied once our shipment didn't make the 10 day delivery window.

My advice is, if you don't have a ton, hiring load and unloading services and moe yourself. There is nothing convenient about using a moving company, at least not Azalea. They were much more trouble than driving our own truck would ever be.
