Pick another company.. Our experience was similar to others. Right there to collect a check...weeks to call back about a problem. Our pool was defective on installation. Turns out we were sold a pool with no finish warranty from the manufacturer. We paid for a perfect pool and were lead to believe the product was free from defects and under full warranty coverage. Now we are stuck with a very expensive damaged product. The dishonesty and the failure to right the situation was very dissappointing.…

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - NEVER SHOWS UP OR RETURNS CALLS. (Quick note: both of the 5 star feedback postings below are obviously written by "griggy" is that david griggs? what a shame) Now onto the real reason i am writing - I am self employed and have the pleasure of working with many people - professional and otherwise. I own and or manage dozens of properties in the downtown area. I have a spa that i purchased from David Griggs and my only regret? Absolutely everything in regards to Charleston pool and spa. I can not tell you how many times, he has scheduled appts for us to meet at a property of mine to conduct a repair, and he just simply does not show up. When i call and question him? He was too busy and forgot or some other explanation that is just poor business practice. When i told him "companies do not stay in business long, if they fail to honor their commitments" he started yelling at me stating that many people have told him he would not make it in business and here he was 10 years later and still in business. It was that comment alone that made me decide to post negative feedback online - so others would learn he does not honor his word. (before they spend $10,000 with him).…

Please don't select to place any pool or spa!!!!. When I decide to put a pool in my back yard Charleston Pool & Spa convince me to selecting them since they are around the corner and would be able to get to me ASAP when I needed them. Once the construction started they were very nice but took them a long long time to complete it. After the customer service was the worst I have ever experience. In the first month the fiber glass pool had a leak, the repair was not smooth, it looked like they just wiped on putty & didn't bother to make it smooth. And then the cement started crack everywhere within 3 months my cement look like it was 20 years old. I called & called & went by the store to get them to repair the cement but at this day after 6 years they still haven't repair or bother to come by. Then to find out my equipment was put together with different name brand not Heyward that I requested. They also give my information out for reference to others that are looking to place a pool in their backyard without my permision. I can't even rate them there is no where to rate them below 1 star!!!! Please whatever you do don't select them to do a pool or spa.…

I agree - run don't walk. We have a used spa that this company sold and they won't work on it. The reason they won't is because 9 years ago when they sold me the wrong parts for my pool, that caused 8,000 gallons to backflow onto the ground, and I tried to return those parts, they would not take them back. Therefore, I disputed the charge with AMEX and won. Now, after five attempts to get them to fix the spa (and after buying more parts as they are the only Catalina dealer in town), they set up an appointment and then never call or show. On top of this, he threatened to spread bad information about me in the business community. These people are bad news.…
