Overpriced and stale back issues, service OK but still need to get out from behind the counter.. Although the service has gotten a little better since Lou sold out to the new guys this is still a mediocre store run by a few fanboys that know comics well but not business. Their prices on back issues and collectibles are very high even when you take into account the half off all the time sale. Selection is ok for the last 20 years worth of stuff and very weak on older material. Alot of stale inventory in there. They have no excuse to fail, however, as there is no competition in Charleston anymore.

Solid Comic Shop. Capt. Lou's is a very spacious shop with lots of variety. Older Back Issue pricing is good, although key and hot issues are a bit pricey at times.

Also alot of comic related merchandise (figures, statues, trades, etc.) available here.
