C.P. R was recommended to us by our dog walker, he said that the owner loves dogs and is very kind. I have had interactions with staffers Danielle,Crystal and Dan and I must say they love what they do. I really respect their sincere concern for the dogs and how they know the dogs on a personal level. The facility is clean and sanitary. I am a nervous person when it comes to leaving my dog's care in the hands of another person. I LOVE this place and feel comfortable leaving my dogs there, which makes for a better vacation for me. They are pleasant when I call them to ask for update on my dogs. On my initial walk through I did look for some of the concerns posited in one of the reviews and for me they appeared unfounded.
I let my pets stay @ there will bark
once they see me but then they settle down.
One of my dogs is not good for grooming however they still groom him. He always looks beautiful! My pets get excited when I turn on to the street the Resort is on..they really can not wait to get there.
I would recommend this place to everyone. These are the people you can trust with your pets.
The owner is an animal advocate and most of the family's dogs are rescued not bought from a breeder.
Sometimes they have dogs for adoption so if you are looking for a dog that needs love don't hesitate to call them.
love it. Charlie and Maggie love going to 'Puppy Day Care' every week at Charleston Pet Resort.

You Do NOT get what you pay for. So this place charges people ridiculous prices for services that the pet is highly unlikely to recieve. the person that stays overnight on the property comes over and shuts the dogs inside because there is a noise ordinance. The animals have access to water outside, so they do not get to drink any overnight after they are shut in. The bedding is old and mostly holes. And do not bother for paying for extra playtimes bc your dog will just be let out just like all the other dogs. if you have no friends to watch your dog then it shouldnt die at the charleston pet resort, but dont waste your money on extra services. these people dont care about you or your animal, all they care about is taking your money
Okay I suppose.
My big issue with this place is that if you are not paying for their special suites, they put dogs and cats in the same boarding area. This upsets the cats and gets the dogs frenzied. They are not mixed where they could get at each other but the cages are often very close and they can certainly smell one another.
They will however, go out of their way to accommodate even if you need a boarding spot at a last minute. They are friendly but not so much giving a feeling of individual attention. Apparently they have an owner on the premises all night so thats good I suppose.
Overall just kind of middle of the road boarding place. Unlikely to be my first choice but far from being a last choice either.
What do they pay the staff to do?. My parents dropped their three dogs off at this extremely noisy kennel and as a favor I offered to pick them up. When I arrived, all three dogs were sharing a small room with its own run. Now whether they spent their entire stay in that room or not, I don't know but that's where they were when I arrived. One of the dogs, with a sensitive disposition, had been sick with (a word that Citysearch won't let me use) that was caked and dried to her backside. The staff's response when questioned about it was "Had we noticed we would have bathed her..." How did they not notice that a dog had been sick especially when they were supposed to be walking the dogs on a leash daily (for an additional fee)!!! Also, a few dog toys were left behind by accident and instead of calling to let my parents know, they gave them to other kenneled dogs to play with.
