problems with location. We stayed two nights in July08. Hotel okay-nicer on outside than inside. Carpet needs updating, elevator VERY small and we needed to wait several times because it was full. Breakfast area small and crowded. Front desk was nice during checkout. While waiting for elevator we heard a few loud customers in their room using the f word down the hall in normal conversation(one sounded drunk)-glad our kids took the first elevator up. Made me wonder about the clientel. Area around I did not like. Thought it would be newer more of a family area. Instead older rest, and car dealerships. "Interesting" characters at nearby grocery store. Did not feel safe and worried about our car in the parking lot. I would recommend staying closer to Charleston near the water-we saw a few nicer national chains there that would not have been much more exp. Will not stay at this hotel again, nor recommend.
