Charming, quiet B&B offers all the comforts of home, and then some..
The Scene
Located in the quiet Cannonboro District, this two-story house was originally built in 1853 by a wealthy rice planter. After a major renovation in 1990, the home was converted into a bed & breakfast. Many of the property's original features, like plaster ceiling medallions and moldings, and heart of pine floors, have been restored to their original beauty. The inn's most lovely feature is its columned piazza, an ideal spot to escape the midday heat or relax with an afternoon drink.
The Details
Each of the inn's eight rooms is cozy and charmingly furnished, with four-poster or canopy beds, private baths and cable TV. Tea is served every afternoon in the parlor, accompanied by fresh baked goods and tea sandwiches. But the Cannonboro's true claim to fame is its delicious homemade breakfast, served each morning on the piazza or in the formal dining room.
