Gross!. Worst seafood ever. I have had better tasting seafood in the middle of Minnesota! The food is under seasoned, undercooked, and disappointing. The staff gives you the feel that they have more important things to do than wait on a tables. If you eat here you will waste your money.

The family food and staff are amazing. if you ever have visitors from out of town or you are a visitor and want to experience the south and charleston in one place with one fine affordable meal this is the place for you! I love watching my friends try the free boiled peanuts for the first time getting them to try the best fried green tomatoes on the planet and then top it of with them loving my favorite meal there the shrimp Alfredo covered grit cake!!!! Especially my Yankee friends! Once I took a visiting SWAT team from Canada and the owner gave us free samples so they could experience the south that was three years ago and I still get emails from them when they are able to swing by SC just to go visit Hyman's again! When you can please and stuff a table full of hard working police officers after a long day you are cooking and serving right! I love the family walking around meeting everyone.

I can't rave enough about this place :). We were looking for a great place to end our engagement weekend and had read alot of reviews about Hyman's Seafood went to their website several times to check it out. Hymans is just one block from the Market on Meeting across the street from the Bank of America and Duncan Dounts. Throughout the day we were all over Charleston and we saw people wearing these stickers for Hyman's saying they were raving fans and we knew we just had to go there for dinner. We knew from walking by on our travels the last several days past the restaurant that they always had a line so we waited till 730pm to try to beat the rush, but they were still lined down the street. The restaurant took our name very politely and told us our wait time we walked around their general store and within minutes we were already seated a good twenty minutes before they approximated. We went upstairs to our table and immediately a gentleman walked up to us and said that he had a better table for us in another room because the table we were seated to was a smaller table in the middle of a room so there was a lot less space. From beginning to end our experience was fantastic! All of our meals were very well done and tasted great and we even had a woman in our group with a food allergy and the same gentleman from before came out and helped us decide how to cook her food. I can't rave enough about this place!!!

The staff and owners which we saw were amazing truly makes you feel like home and that you really are valued .

I highly recommend Hyman's it is a must when you are in Charleston!

The best seafood you will eat anywhere in the SOUTH. Very very very very very good food. Service is "ok"...not great, but not bad. The decor, plates, and brass plates at each table is great. You will sit very close to your neighbor.

Hyman's. Always like to see what famous person's nameplate is attached to the table. Food is good and owner is personable, but it can be a bit pricey depending on what you order.

The peanuts are always a treat. The peanuts are always a treat and all my friends think this is such a great starter. I always feels special when I come here. I am treated like an old family friend that visits because I am loved.
