Tips for Jack's Cafe

Not great. I ate at Jack's once after hearing a lot about it, the food was good but overly oily. I was under the impression that Southerners like their large portions, but at Jack's when I asked for 2 eggs bacon hasbrowns and toast I found I had to pay for each item seperately, got 2 small-average sized eggs, 2 SMALL overcooked peices of bacon, a small over oiled side of hashbrowns, and they forgot to give me toast. That being said I have found that Charleston doesnt have many great breakfast places that are simple like Jack's, only fancy restaurants with expensive breakfasts', so I will probably give Jack's another chance... right now :)

1st time and will NEVER return!!!. 1st Time and I will NEVER return to this restaurant!!! My server was horribly rude and nasty about me changing my order to go and how "expensive" the carton that I was going to be using was!! She rudely threw my food on the counter along with my change.I left feeling very ripped off and dissappointed in the cafe that I had heard so much about! Coincidently I ran into the same lady at the grocery story a couple of days later and she once again RUDELY acted out! She threatened that if "I ever returned to this resturant, I better watch out for my Food" this amongst other rude obscenties were thrown my way all the while she was still wearing a "Jack's Cafe" t-shirt!! I am also reporting this incident to the Better Busines Bureaus because I just CANNOT believe the way that this lady acted and how I was treated!!!

Best Breakfast and Burgers downtown!. I have been eating here since 2001, when my sister introduced me. The prices are awesome and the food is great! My favorite is the chicken platter and the burgers are awesome too. I introduced my coworkers to Jack's and now they go at least once a week! It is a small restaurant, reminds me of being back in the 50's or 60's and Jack is always the one there cooking. he beileves in quality food and service, and that is just what he and his staff gives! Go check it out you won't regret it! Prices are unbelievable!!!

Jack's is a must. So what if the walls are orange. Do you want great burgers, good prices and friendly faces? Then you must stop here. Jack always has a kind word for you and a minute to talk. I always enjoy Jack's when I visit Charleston.

GREASE AND YUMMYNESS. Jack's cafe takes you back with a small town feel. Jack cooks on the grill and always greets customers with friendly small talk. It is a great place to get a burger and is really cheap as well. The decor is that of an old sixties diner and the food is simplistic but delicious.
