I decided to order a Cobb salad. I asked the waiter if they used MSG on their lettuce. I get really sick when MSG enters my system. He assured me that they use only fresh lettuce. Within 30 minutes I was really sick for about an hour. I will never eat at Safron's again.

Very Bad Service Every Time. I used order food from here all the time. It was always hit or miss, so I would take my chances. But the last couple of orders have been completely bad! The order was either incorrect and not cooked properly. When I requested for the order to be corrected I always get a very rude attitude from the owner. Every time I go to Saffron the owner is always rude and impolite. Service is lacking, although the girls at the register can be very nice. Overall there is poor management. The food is not worth the money. They cook what they want to cook and not what you order. Sometimes the food is very old and the deserts are sometimes moldy. I would never recommend eating here!

Will skip this place. Have been going to Saffron's for Sunday breakfast for several years. Service and food always good. Went last Sunday - first since renovation. The configuration of room does not allow wait staff to see patrons. Folks next to us had drinks but had to beg to be allowed to order. We sat for 10 minutes and never got an offer for something to drink, so left. Very disappointed and don't plan to go back.

Saffron's a must. I went to the Saffron Cafe and Bakery for the first time recently and can't wait to go back. The hot lunch specials were so wonderful that I thought I was in some high profile, famous gourmet chef restaurant at $80 a plate, but try about $10! Service was excellent, and the restaurant is clean. Parking is right out front, though the lot is small.

Highly recommend. We had breakfast here and is was so good we went back the next morning. Food is very good. We will go there every time we are in Charleston from now on. The second day we did split a meal, portions are too big for sr citizens.

Perfect!. Everything was great, the pastries, the service, etc. I will start recommending this place to friends and will continue to return to this bakery myself!

gross. Not much more to say...about the only good thing I've had from Saffron was dessert--and it wasn't memorable enough for me to note..
