The civil war started here, the skeletal remains of the fort, including cannons, still reside on this piece of land 3 miles out from the Charleston shoreline. The history buff and even the tag-along will enjoy this tour. The guides share the Fort's history with enthusiasm, pride and well versed knowledge. The boat ride out is lovely and dolphins can be seen playing off shore of the fort
