Simply the BEST TRANSPORTATION!!!. We highly recommend An Executive Travel (843)412-4971 for transportation and sedan services while in Charleston, SC. Toan and his guys are on point and really informative about what to do in the city. Their rates are really reasonable too! $50 for two from the Charleston International Airport in a sedan. During our stay at the Charleston Place Hotel, we used this company and were really satisfied. You will be too!
Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!
Awesome pool. Best pool (it is under a really tall glass ceiling that they open up to the sky sometimes, no chlorine fumes, and not even crowded when I was there). Classy lobby and rooms. Great service. Comfortable spa. Very nice to my young daughter (they even have a small menu of spa services for kids!). We could look down from our balcony and see the horse drawn carriages go by. Right in downtown, quick walk to all of the restaurants and shopping. Best hotel, best amenities, best location. I can't wait to go back.
Frequent Guest. I have stayed in this hotel no fewer than 200 nights dince it opened. Many of the employeew remain the same. next to the breakers in Palm Beach this hotels staff is the best trained in the South. THey also accept pets and my dog loves Charleston.Room service is great. The hotel dining room is tops.If you are there more than two nighhts go to the restaurant across the streetat planter's Inn or Il Cortile on King Street.
Great luxury hotel in a great spot. The hotel is what you expect from a luxury hotel. There is no better location for a hotel. The only downside is the gym (weight and cardio room) is too small for this size hotel. The club level is a great extra if you upgrade.
Very nice hotel. I stayed here with a group of co-workers (8 men - 4 rooms) for two nights during the week. We received a corporate rate as some of us have to travel to the area often on business. After being used to accomodations such as Holiday Inn's, this place was obviously off the scale. The rooms were large, comfortable, and clean. We received a welcome tray with Godiva chocolates that was a nice touch. All of the staff were very kind and professional. The pool was great and the gym was up-to-date and clean.
Genteel Southern style in a Charleston classic..
This pretty hotel offers a timelessness that matches the city in which it resides. It's a member of the Orient-Express Hotel group, whose swanky reputation it easily upholds. A horse and carriage, rather than cars, suits the circular front entrance. At the same time, the property possesses just the right amount of modernity, such as the beautiful pool area with its retractable glass roof.
The 440 guest rooms are understated affairs, done up with American period furnishings. A variety of suite options include L-shaped Senior Suites and Manager Suites on the private Club Level. The Charleston Grill has garnered numerous accolades and is popular for both its sophisticated Southern cuisine and live jazz trio. Facilities for business gatherings include an indoor gazebo, 18 breakout rooms and the art deco The Riviera at Charleston Place conference center, with an amphitheater and rooftop terrace. On-site there is also a comprehensive Health Club and The Spa at Charleston Place.
As the hotel with the best location in downtown Charleston, the Charleston Place is a great hotel.
The service is excellent, the rooms are nice, and it is very pretty in the common areas.
