Best Place. I love this restaurant. I eat here more often than any other restaurant in Charleston! It has a laid back atmosphere and the best food. I love their chicken and waffles, blackened green tomato melt, mac n'cheese, pancakes, and all of their soups. I could have kept going it is so good, but you get the idea!

Great Old-Fashioned Diner in West Ashley. This place makes my mouth water to even think of it. Their biscuits are like heavenly little buttery clouds of joy! I also enjoy just about everything else on their menu...and their specials are consistently scrumptious. They are really something different in the "West Of" area of Charleston...their risotto specials are of course, to die for! Great breakfast served all day...and they're open really late on the weekends....until 3 or 4 in the morning on Friday and Saturday. Dessert is a whole separate menu...they make all their own ice creams from scratch. And the buttermilk pie and key lime pie: AAAAA+++++++. 'ALWAYS FRIENDLY, TOO....Raddd!

This is by far the best breakfast place in Charleston. My wife was told that one of her friends from work recommended the Early Bird Diner to her for breakfast. Having tried many of the other breakfast places in town that are always rated so high, I was a bit skeptical but willing to try it out.

We took our 3 kids on a Saturday and I can honestly say that the experience was a real pleasure.

The food was fantastic and the service was attentive and friendly.

Since our initial visit, we have been every weekend and have tried multiple items on the menu. So far, I have yet to find something that was not good.

Do yourself a favor and try this place out. Prices are reasonable and the food is much better than in any of the places Citysearch lists in their Best Breakfast list.
