Tips for Aloft Charleston Airport And Convention Center

Very unhappy.
We drove down for the Cooper River Bridge Run late due to my daughter being sick. They had given our room away even though we had called ahead. They then made us wait outside of a room for over half an hour while the maintenance tried to let us in...THERE WAS SOMEONE IN THAT ROOM! By the time we finally got our room it was 1:04 a.m. and we had to get up at 5:30 for the race. We were exhausted.
To add insult to injury, the did not credit our account for the OVER 24 hr cancellation that we gave them for the next night which we didn't stay. I am not having to dispute the charges.
While the hotel has potential, seems a little shady or organized from a staff/managerial level. Maybe they just need to work out bugs, but I WAS NOT HAPPY and am now sick from not getting any sleep. Would not recommend until they get their s@#$ together!

I like this hotel. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The location is also convenient for visiting different sites around Charleston. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I also like how the hotel is dog friendly and they were welcoming to my dog.
