I absolutely love this place. I recently went in to get my services done and to take my children with me, but it wasn't a problem for the staff at the salon. They even offered to look after my kids until I was done with my service. From the Estheticians to the Reception I wouldn't recommend a better place.

I love Brazilian Wax and Spa by Claudia!!! I went there for the first time and I was soo nervous!! but the staff definitely calmed me down and the experience was not as bad as i expected it to be. I am never going anywhere else.

This place is Awesome! I was very nervous for my first time, however the staff and amosphere was very welcoming, and made me feel comfortable. I definitely recommend them for any service. Also they just opened up a new location in Columbia, which is very convenient for me because i am a USC student and spend most of my days up there.

I LOVE Claudia. Started going there three years ago, about a month AFTER I gave birth to my son. She has always treated me with respect and is very professional. I am a nurse and know many nurses that see her, so sanity is NOT an issue at Claudia's. To be waxing such a sensitive area, she makes you forget that you are even lying there naked (but it might take YOU a time or two for this to happen). As for the comment about the little pink towel, um what do you expect to be wearing when getting a braxillian wax??? You can leave your shirt on, but might get wax on it, especially if you are having your brows done, as well. As for her wax, and I mean Claudia's wax, I have used all kinds of wax and she makes and distributes her own formula, to other salons and online. It dries very quickly (note the use of a fan) and does not require the white paper strips, which decreases rash and actually is less painful when removed. If they were blowing on you, I can only say maybe you were saying the wax was "hot" and it was a natural instinct. I can not say enough GOOD about her. She also sells great products like Dermatologica and Obagi and can tint your brows (not just henna) and get a wonderful facial, etc. She really has made the spa experience affordable and a place where you feel like home. You just have to comfortable with yourself, and if your NOT, a brazillian wax is NOT for you. I have and will continue to see her every 4 weeks forever and refer everyone to her.

Ladies go elsewhere!. Weird experience! Once inside the client room there was a TV monitor that showed the lobby and different areas. Why do they have a TV with live video feed in the room where I am doing my wax? I felt like they had it there to watch out for the cops, made me really uncomfortable. Next, after taking my clothes off, they give you a bright pink hand wash cloth to cover over your lap. It barely covered you and the door to the room opened right out into the hallway. Also, this place does not use wax cloths but hard wax. This makes a difference because they use a fan that blows right into your face to dry the wax. At one point the wax was really hot and the worker started to blow onto my crotch. I just felt so dirty being there. Please ladies go else where!

LOVE Claudia!. I absolutely ADORE Claudia and her staff. From the moment you walk in off the street, you are enveloped in a soothing atmosphere. To this mom of many, THAT is important. The rooms are clean, the staff professional, the prices amazing. Claudia also has an AMAZING massage therapist on staff. I recommend anyone needing waxing, facials, or the ultimate massage getaway try Claudia out. She is WORTH IT!!

Good results, questionable techniques.. I went in and got a Brazilian wax and was seen by one of the esthicians, not Claudia.

I've had brazilian waxes done multiple times, and have been through a waxing program so I know what to expect and look for with regards to professionalism, cleanliness and technique.

When I was ushered into the room I could tell they followed some sort of protocal with regard to keeping impliments, the table and the room clean, just by looking around. But in looking aroudn I also noticed the room was in need of some repair work. Broken tiles, and an unsetteling hole in the wall near the ceiling to name a few.

I know technique varies from technician to technician, and certian things may be acceptable to some but here are the things I found uncomfortable.

First she dropped a glove on the floor, and picked it up and put it on. Gross! Get a new one, I don't know what's been on that floor or when it was mopped last!

Second, Positioning, and lack of draping. Even though I have been waxed previously, I prefer to be partially covered through the session. The tech whipped the towel off right from the start and put me into a frog legged position of which I remained in the entire time.

It is not hard to work one side at a time or even the top and side together without uncovering the other side. Again, this could have been therapist technique preference, but not mine.

Third, she brought out a fan and placed it between my legs blowing up towards my face. I have NEVER had a tech do that, and although I understand the reason may have been to dry the wax quicker, I felt that was VERY unprofessional.

Last and most importantly, When the tech started applying the wax, she BLEW on it while it was on the applicator! SO GROSS!!! When I went through school, that was something that was drilled in our heads not to do. So many germs!!!

Beyond these things, the gal was chatty which helped take my mind off the pain, but when she said she really didn't like to do brazilians, I was almost ready to leave.

Every time I've had my hair cut, or a facial, or massage by someone who "doesn't like doing it" the service was horrible! but I'm glad I stayed because with her it was ok.

She removed the majority of the hair with wax, and tweezed only a few which is fantastic. The service was a quick one, and I did not have a wait to be seen.

Overall, if you don't mind a noisy atmosphere, and lots of air circulating where it shouldn't be, this place is alright.

I will go back, just not to the gal I saw already.

best in the area. Claudia is amazing! I have gone to a lot of places in the area to get these services and non of them come close to Claudia. I recommend her to all my friends or anyone that is looking to get this done. I am hooked and will not go anywhere else or see anyone else plus the price is amazing as well!!!!

SO FAR THE BEST. when I first called to ask for some information I was very nervous because I wasnt sure of their reaction of a male wanting a Brazilian Wax.But the staff helped me with all of the questions that I had and informed me that there were many services for both male and female, which is GREAT. When I came in on my appointment day, I was still very nervous because it was my first time. We all know that a Brazilian Wax will include a little bit of pain, but at the end, It was all worth it! I will definetly be back soon.
