Quick Peek

"Swing Vote" follows the story of Bud Johnson, an apathetic, beer-slinging, lovable loser, who is coasting through a life that has passed him by. The one bright spot is his precocious, over-achieving 12-year-old daughter Molly. She takes care of both of them, until one mischievous moment on Election Day, when she accidentally sets off a chain of events which culminates in the election coming down to one vote--her dad's.

Great humor centered around some very real characters and core questions. The strong cast delevered just what I would expect- a quality peice of entertainment! Also- do not fear that this is intented to push a particular political agenda other than to appreciate and take advantage of our right to vote! Pros: The performances and writing. Young Molly- clearly an actress that we will continue to see. Cons: At times, the amount of foul language...yet it really did fit the "blue collar" character.

Pros: Acting and writing. Also- some GREAT tunes from the past!

It started out as a decent comedy and when you thought it was going great...it ended up getting too serious too fast in a couple of sceens. They could have left these sceens out all together and the movie would have been better. The ending was good but you couldn't appreciate it due to the prior sceens being so hard.

Pros: honest comedy

Cons: Mom character wasn't necessary
