Awesome. I had an idea what I wanted, but needed an artist. Greg (I think) re drew my design over and over and didn't make me feel like a burden or annoying, then he was hilarious and super talented. He did an awesome job, my tattoo is better than what I had in mind. Also, the whole staff was really friendly and welcoming. Not the type of tattoo place with a bunch of grumps! Good experience, good price, excellent tatt!

Do not recommend, go somewhere else. I recently walked in to make an appointment for a small peice on my wrist. I told him I wanted a light color. He tried to talk me out of it, however, I was set on what I wanted for my own reasons. This would have been fine if they would have quit then, however, they continued to say how it was not what they wanted to do and it was not something they are used to doing. I visited Iron Lotus earlier that day that was exctied to try something different and made me feel so welcomed. I really should have left there and went to Iron Lotus due to the lack of service I received. It really made me feel bad and if I had not already paid and gotten started I would have left. I will not go back or recommend this place to anyone unless you want to feel like an idiot.

Very Pleased. I called to make an appt. When I arrived the next day; they remembered having talked to me and remembered what I was looking for. The tattoo artist listened to my vague description of the elements I wanted and came up with the perfect design. While he made recommendations on coloring, he understood it was my decision and changed mid-sentence to what I wanted. The only delays that I encountered where while the design was created and while it was scaled to the size I wanted. He was very professional while creating the tattoo on my ankle. It turned out beautifully, healed cleanly and is now a very proud part of me. I am very pleased with the service and creativity of the staff and artist I dealt with and overjoyed with the tattoo.

awesome work!. I just have to say this place does some amazing work. My first tattoo from this place was some wording done across the top of my stomach, great coloring and clean lines. My next one was done by Tim I believe. It's the turtle playing the banjo from terrapin station done on my forearm, no color, just shading. I get compliments on it all the time. Great attention to detail on the turtle and banjo, and the shading just makes everything really pop. Both tattoos still look fresh after 4 years, and i'm constantly in the sun and ocean. I highly recommend this shop to whoever asks me and I will be returning to get another one.

AWESOME!!!. So basically on my 22nd b-day I started my first tattoo... HUGE, I basically told Margo a general idea of what I wanted and asked her to put her own spin to it. To my suprise the tattoo came out better than I had imagined I wish I could post a pic of what she's done so far. Can't wait till its completed so I can show it off for my 24th in south beach. She's quick efficient and her style has surely impressed my friends. The tatt. just looks great. Thanks Margo, you are the best.

Bad service!. After being told to wait a couple minutes till it was our turn, those couple minutes turned into 2 hours. Plus they served a customer who had gotten there after us before our turn. Their customer service is terrible!

An answer for janine1123. This is a response to Janine1123.

I distinctly remember you, and I can shed some light on your review.

You did not have an appointment, and were on a rather lengthy walk-in list. I understand that waiting is frustrating, but we can only do so much work at a time in what has been and continues to be a very busy studio. The "hot girls" had an appointment with ME. I shouldn't have to clarify this, but seeing as age and beauty is the focal point of your frustration, i will- I am not a lesbian, and I do not care what you look like, so your wait had nothing to do with your middle age. they had appointments that they had made well in advance, and therefor trump your walk-in list. This works the same at any appointment-based business. Would you want your doctor to make you wait for your appointment because someone walked in with no notice demanding to be seen RIGHT NOW? No, you would be pissed, and rightfully so. Before you slander a VERY reputable business, it might be a good idea to relay what I told you to your face, that day. boobies don't matter- appointments do. Thank you for your effort to slander our business without stating the entire story. your behavior was irrational and volatile enough at the studio that day that I promise I will never forget you and your friend's experience, nor my experience trying to explain reality to you. Great place to get a tattoo. My boyfriend went here for a tattoo after a few recommendations from friends, and Margo drew exactly what he wanted. You can tell she took her time drawing it, rather than simply incorporating pieces of flash art to make his stencil. I went back to her when I wanted a piece done, and she did an absolutely amazing job, from the VERY custom drawing (Alice in Wonderland) to the actual inking. She went as long as I could, which was about 4 hours each session (2 sessions), with very few breaks in between. You can see from her artwork in the studio that she's an extremely talented artist, and she is very easy to talk to- none of that awkward silence. I plan on getting more tattoos done, and as long as Margo is at Blu Gorilla, that's where I'll continue to go!
