Good pizza but bad service.
I liked the slices I bought the first time, but they advertises they sell by the slice, but not most of the day. Went back again on two occasions., once aground 4pm and the second at 7om, and was told they were out of slices and were not making any more. So if you want to just get a few slices it is random availability.
The fourth try they actually sold me slices, The 2 slice One-topping w/ drink special) but since I got one cheese and asked that one topping just be put with the second slice instead, It was charged for an extra topping still. So for them 1+1=3.
It s too bad that they have good food, but business practices make you look elsewhere.
Pretty Good! Fun Atmosphere.
My wife and I stopped by after church down the street at Crosstowne just to check it out, and the food was good! We sat at the bar and all of the staff spoke to us. Very interactive. We both ordered the 2 Slice and a Drink deals, and the Buffalo Chicken topping was the best I've had anywhere! I also had a slice with Steak on it that was good.
Nice spot to have lunch in!
Little dry for me. Subs use to be good....but the other day I got two chicken phillys and the meat was so dry!! I even ordered extra cheese which didn't help a bit! Had to pay $18 for two subs we only ate half of! Same price you can go to Phillys in Ladson and get the bellybuster!!! Just far to drive for a sub but its worth it!!
LOVE IT!!!. Love the food at this place. Huge helpings and always fresh and yummy. Wings, pizza, salads, philly sandwiches all rock the house. Always have good service and food arrives warm and fresh when delivered.
better off elsewhere.
just awful service. the cooks are slow. our family had horrible service. the manager (Jim) is rude as hell. we will never go back.
also ive noticed BIGJIM on some other review sites. possibly the manager of south of philly pizza reviewing his own restaurant?? what a shady character.
im my opinion you are better off going to andolini's or baroni's. really anywhere else but here.
GREAT SERVICE, BETTER FOOD. THEY CHEESE STEAKS ARE SO BIG THEY ARE A HALF POUND AND CHEESEY, THE PEPPERONI THEY USE IS THE OLD SCHOOL KIND CRISPY AND LITTLE OILY
I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!. Moved down to Charleston from Brooklyn NY in August. Wll today I finally found it! Real New York Style Pizza!!! and they deliver! Does it get any better than this! They brought the pizza right to the table. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about... our service was excellent. Will DEFINITELY go back to South of Philly..(even though i'm a die-hard Mets fan).
Bad Attitude and Poor Service. I took my family to South of Philly for dinner. The service was absolutly the worst. The food was served over an hour period. By time one was done another person finally served. This even occurred when two of the orders were exactly the same. We went to eat as a family when we might as well just ate at different times at home. When the staff was asked, they just caught an attitude. Take out maybe ok, but definetly not a family place.
Best PHILLY CHEESESTEAK in the south !!!. I recently moved here from Philadelphia. I have stopped at quite a few cheesesteak places throughout the low country and none can hold a candle to South of Philly Pizzeria! Jimmy, the owner, used to live in Philly for awhile and has Amoroso rolls shipped down from Philadelphia twice a week. That is KEY for making a PHILLY cheesteak. As well as having Cheese Whiz, for those who eat their cheeseteak "Whiz wit" Pizza's okay, but nothing to brag about. If you stop in ask for a cheesesteak "whiz wit" or "whiz wit out" if you dont like fried onions on your steak. You will be delightfully suprised!!!!
