Excellent Food Which Includes Low-Country.
Everyone at the table managed to order something different and everyone just thought it was excellent.

An excellent meal in a hidden gem.
After reading several reviews on other web sites and publications, we decided to give this place a shot. It certainly was worth the effort. Started with the Shrimp & Grit?s appetizer, which was outstanding. Entree?s of the nightly special, steak, asparagus, tiger shrimp and garlic mashed. Apple and brie stuffed pork chop with green beans and garlic mashed. Both were outstanding and certainly large enough to share should you so desire. Finished off dinner with peach cobbler/ice cream & pecan pie/ice cream. Both were excellent choices. This restaurant has been in business for 25 years in one of the most competitive markets in the country. They obviously are doing something right. Our server was very nice and accomodated every request with a smile and prompt service. Most of the tables are outside in a very nice courtyard covered by trees. We didn?t know to ask for a table in the middle section, but you should request one of these tables at reservation, or request a table upstairs on the balcony. They have indoor tables if you request in advance should you not desire to sit outside. All in all this is a nice restaurant and provides an upscale twist on typical low country fare. It?s worth a visit. Dress is semi-casual, but keep in mind Charleston is humid and seating is outdoors

best she-crab soup.
Whenever we are in Charleston we go to 82 Queen. Our in-laws also believe it to the as good a restaurant we have been to. I travel and eat out weekly for my work, and 82 Queen rates better than 90% of the places I eat. The shrimp and grits are wonderful, as are all of the other dishes. We have probably eaten there 7 times over the years, we have always been thrilled!

Wouldn't know about the food, we waited for 45 minutes for a table with reservations and finally left..
My husband and I had heard great things about this restaurant. We happened to walk by it in the afternoon and stopped in to make reservations. We showed up 10 minutes before our reservation and we were told our table would be ready shortly. We went into the bar and had a drink. After 30 minutes, my husband went to inquire about our table. We were told it would be ready shortly. We waited another 15 minutes and finally left. It is not acceptable to make people wait when they have a reservation when you are chargin $15-25 a plate.

Editorial Review.
Fine-dining bistro in historic French Quarter serves Lowcountry cuisine, such as grouper, shrimp and beef dishes that feature fresh, local ingredients.

My favorite restaurant in the South!.
I live in South Carolina and never miss a chance to go to 82 Queen when I am in Charleston. Sometimes I go there more than once per visit! The menu at 82 Queen is exceptional - definitely not your run-of-the-mill menu. And every single item on it is scrumtious. The wait staff is first class, and for what you get, the prices are really not bad at all. The bar there is beautiful also. It looks antique. If you get a chance, eat at least once inside the glass house when they heat it in the winter. It's delightful and so cozy. I could go on and on, but just try it -you'll LOVE IT!

Outstanding crab cakes.
We had not tried 82 Queen until reading some reviews here and decided to try. We were very glad we did. Reservations were accepted and we were seated in minutes. Great atmosphere with small dining rooms, very quite and peaceful. Great menu and the resulting food was superb. The crab cakes were so good that after an appetizer, we changed our dinner order. Overall a VERY enjoyable dinner, great food, great service. We will be back.

One of the very best in Charleston.
The food is exceptionally well prepared and presented. Try any of the specials, especially the stuffed rainbow trout if they have it. The grouper with grits and fried green tomatoes is also exceptional. This restaurant is far better than some of the more currently touted "star" rstaurants in the Charleston. The outside seating is very nice and quite romantic. Service is friendly, efficient, and very hard working.
Our newly refound favorite in this great city.

Nice Place to Eat.
My wife and I went to 82 Queen during our Honeymoon and it is a nice, romantic place to eat when you are in Charleston. Specifically, the shrimp & grits were something that is a local meal that tastes great. I had filey mignon and it tasted great. The service is top notch; the only setback was the fact that we had to walk through a bar to get to our seats.

Good Place.
Great atmosphere in the heart of Charleston, SC.
Awesome shrimp cocktail and delicious leg of lamb.
Service was exceptional... first class.
She-crabs soup was a bit on the salty-side.
Overall, a nice location to spend with a loved one for a romantic dinner.
