Why waste your money?

Before I write a review, I usually wait for atleast a week so I can be fair and not reactionary. This place is a rip off and the food is not all that good either, The wait staff is not pleasant and you basically are squeezed in a small room like sardines in a can. The prices really do not reflect the quality of the food. For overall ambience, friendly service, and delicious food, I would recommend Boat House any day over this tourist spot.
- Pros: location
- Cons: everything else
great location great food

I never knew about Morgan Creek Grill until one evening when I needed to get out of the stress of downtown my husband took me for a drive and surprised me by taking me to Morgan Creek Grill out on Isle of Palms. It's a beautiful place and a totally relaxing atmosphere on the water. We did not have reservations but still managed to get a table with a great view of the water because all the tables have a great view. During dinner we watched dolphins swim by and saw a beautiful sunset. Our dinners were excellant- my husband had a grilled Filet Mignon with blue cheese spinach that he absolutely loved and I had the fresch catch of mahi with an awesome lemon caper browned butter sauce. They have a really great wine list and we enjoyed a bottle of Jordan Russian River Chardonnay-I skipped dessert but my husband had his favorite, Key Lime Pie.
We would definately go back- not just for the great food , but also because of the beautiful location. When my husband's family comes to visit from Ireland, I know they will love this place-

I arrived at 6 pm on a Friday night. The place was bustling already. I was an hour early for my reservation so I went to the "Upper Deck" with my wife and we enjoyed a few cocktails, and enjoyed the great live band. At 7 we got our table in a huge room on the Inter-Coastal Waterway that was all windows. Our server was attentive but not intrusive, and very knowledgeable about wines, food, and even things for us to do while we were visiting Charleston. The food was fantastic! I highly recommend the "Seafood Ciopinno." My wife got it because it was Low-Carb, and it was a delicious combination of fresh and local seafood in a nice broth. To finish we got the Key Lime Pie and the Peanut Butter Pie. Both were out of this world.
Everything about this night was perfect. If you are visiting, I highly suggest making this a defiant stop!
- Pros: Service, Food, Drinks, Atmosphere, Music

The Islands' Best Kept Secret

I first went to a wedding reception at MCG and could not believe the beatiful open air rooftop bar area, it is definately one of the best waterfront restaurants in the area. The views are only surpassed by the food. It is now our favorite place to go, the downstairs restaurant has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water and marina... happy hour is fun too!
