TERRIBLE SERVICE! Okay food..
The waiter was very inattentive. Our drinks were only refilled once, and that was after they had been empty for over a half an hour. He couldn't remember who had what and mixed our orders up multiple times. After trying to get his attention for nearly twenty minutes, we gave up. The overall food was okay, however, a friend that came with us, ordered his steak rare. It was served medium, if not well done. When he requested to speak with the chef, the chef argued with him about how it was cooked. After we were boxed up and waiting for our checks, which we requested to split three ways for three separate parties (not that difficult you would think) the waiter had to re-do our tickets 4 times before he got them correct. We definitely will not be returning, and will not be recommending it to anyone.
Worst Service Ever/ Management Poor.
Okay so i eat out for sushi about 3 times a week. Myself and a Friend decided to go to this place and try it out. We ordered at the sushi bar and the night started off well., UNTIL we got our sushi. I tasted the first peice of Salmon, which is my favorite and it tasted funny so i asked the chef was thier fish frozen or fresh. He proceeded to tell me that all of thier fish is frozen when they get it. I then said i cant eat it as it has a funny taste to it. The waitress comes over and i explained to her the same thing and she brings the check. Mind you it was only $30 worth of sushi and that wasnt the issue. The issue was, that the Waitress never offered to get a manager to fix the problem. So as we are leaving i asked for the manager. She comes up and asked what was wrong, I explained to her that the sushi was frozen and not fresh as they say it is in thier menu and that i could not eat it as it had a funny taste. Her response was that she has NEVER had a compalint ever there and there is nothing she could do. Now again its not about the money, However i would like to get what i paid for and none of thier staff was willing to even offer a refund nor anything to fix the problem. I told them that if they were my employees that i would fire both of them for piss poor customer service. I might not have liked the sushi but i might have tried the grill, But not after that experience. BUYER BEWARE!
I normally enjoy Yokoso's. But tonight (2/19/10) the waitress seemed to rush us out the door. Before we were finished eating, she was at our table with take-out boxes and didn't even refill our drinks. We had reservations at 6, and were out of the restaurant by 6:35. It was my daughters 19th birthday and I am truly disapointed. I really don't care if they had people waiting in the lobby, there is no excuse for our waitress rushing us like that.

I highly recommend making reservations on nights and weekends so you would have a good night ahead of you, no one wants to anxiously wait for food at the end of the day.
Yokoso has excellent food. Better than Myabi (in West Ashley). The cooks are very easy going, funny, and will do anything to make your experience at Yokoso a good one. If you are laid-back and love Japanese food, this is the place to go! Very friendly environment, everyone just wants to have a good time!

Bad Steak, Too much fat. Bad managment. Talked to the asian lady who speaks very little english. She basicly tells me she doesnt care. I will never go back to a place who doesnt care about their customer. All they want you to do is go in put money in their pocket and leave.

Great food, great atmosphere, amazing quantity, awesome quality, super entertainment...so why only 4 stars? Sometimes you have to wait for a long time, even if you have reservations. The overall experience is well worth the wait and price. Go on someone's birthday.
